Hi Paul, and of course all our readers.
This is a follow up to Paul's posting on the History project, but is more of a general point than a historical one.
It’s good to have another post on the site; it was all becoming a bit moribund. I don’t wish to be pedantic, I’m all for live and let live, but Paul (acting on our behalf) paying for copies of the CD to send to museums and associations (albeit only the I Corps) does seem a bit unfair. Gerry deserves recompense for his efforts in producing the CDs, but it does seem wrong for Paul, on top of all his hard graft in pulling the history together, to then fund the dissemination of the information to the various bodies. May I suggest that the probably miniscule cost of Gerry producing the CDs be paid from central funds. While we are on the subject, it wouldn’t do any harm to duplicate transmission to the Signals side. Anyone second the motion? (Paul you keep out of this), I don’t want there to be any suggestion of corrupt practices, we’ve got enough of that from Parliament. All the best. Dave T

Sorry Paul, no one seconded my motion so it looks as if you'll have to cough up for the CDs, never mind, I'll go halves, let me know the damage. Dave T

No need for a seconder. Three done for Paul, and one for R Sigs Museum. No cost involved either. See how generous I can be !! Will be in the post tomorrow Paul.

Well done Gerry, I thought for one small moment I'd have break into the piggy bank. All the best Dave T.

Sorry Dave, it's been a bit grim around here with the sad death of my dear old auntie who was like a mum to me as from a 6 month old baby we all shared the same (huge) house in Wimbledon.  Funeral was 26th.  Now life moves on.

We too agree that should a situation like this come up again and a 'threat' to Paul's wallet comes up, that it would be a great idea to chip in and do our bit.  We would be happy to purchase a copy from Gerry and help burn some more so there are a few copies around for enquirers.  We were only looking at the history project a few days ago, it is as the kids today are inclined to say 'awesome'.
