Mr V.
How dare you call the I Corps a 'can of worms'. 'Canned' possibly sometimes I must confess, but worms?
Cheers

Nearly seventy names and only two defections Brian Patchett and Panda Arnold, the other 68 must have really enjoyed Langeleben.

That is the one I remember too Ron. It came as a big surprise to hear that he had gone 'walkies'.
His nickname I rec all  came about duuring his time in Cyprus when he had fallen asleep wearing dark glasses. You can guess the rest

As far as i am concerned the list is continually open. But then, Tom has valiantly volunteered to monitor the Forum and amend the list. When he offered I don't think he expected this number of rteplies and the interest

Many thanks for all your little grey cells and their efforts.
I went to a meeting of the iIntelligence Corps Trustees re the Beano next year and was able to produce the list "up until then" and they were amazed.
Despite the fact that 1/3 of the Corps have been in Sigint the Museum virtually ignores them. Now Col Angus Southwood who was at Langeleben, Gatow and Birgelen and is a Life member of our lot and I are tasked with putting forward ideas to put this right. Well done and keep the names flowing.

One name that Tom should add (PLEASE) is that of Col. Angus Southwood who despite Ernie's efforts to 'disappear' him remains a Life Langeleben member and a great fan. He was at Langeleben, Gatow and Birgelen, i/c voice ops in the good old Mercury Grass days. He should be joining us next June. he is the Sigint Rep on the board of Trustees at the Int Corps Museum and is being very active on this QLR wagon transportation problem.
By the way, the two QLRs will be at the Forties revival at Chatham Dockyard this Saturday and Sunday. If anyone fancies a beer I'll be there at 10.30am and in the chair

Terry Whittles appears to be missing from the list .. he arrived at Langeleben with me from the Russian Linguist course in February 1969.
I don't know how long he stayed!!

I didn't see Hughie O'neil on the list, he was my stand in interpreter when I got married Shocked  in Dec 1971.

I see the name Roger Bannister on the list, is that THE Roger Bannister or just a copycat?
