My goodness me! I was going to use something considerably stronger.
I've just noticed that this is my 996th posting to the Forum and that I am the author of 21.33% of all the postings. .98 per day. I am endebted to Tom Pearson for those totally useless statistics. I think that for my 1,000th I will try and write something interesting for the first time - just to celebrate. Dave Thomas has given me an idea!

Hi Marlene, Please don't hold your breath, we've still got 998, and 999 load of drivel to put up with first.
All the best. Dave _________________ Dave Thomas 2 Sqn 13 SR, '63-'66
Could be a friend of our webmaster, I think it is an excuse for Croxson to post another "blog" so as to attain his millenuem. _________________ Langeleben Dec 1957- March 1959.
Come on Paul, Stop holding us all in suspense. We are all waiting to see what words of wisdom you are to come up with. Keith _________________ Keith Kerby (1955/6)
He has got to reply very soon,im surprised he has,nt come back on line sooner,i did,nt realise he could be quiet for so long,i hope he has,nt took umbridge
The suspense is killing me too.
There is also another problem in that I have to write a couple more exquisitely crafted little literary gems (oops, nearly wrote 'germs') before I hit the big one. Thanks to you lot there is sweet F.A about which to write.
Fingers need to be got out, I reckon. Get on with it and put us all out of our agony.
Thing is Paul, you were at 998 posts the other day and Wednesday shows you as 998 yesterday as well. Looks like the forum is holding you back.. _________________ Clive (aka Gypo) Langeleben 1967-1971

Does anyone know what happens when someone hits the magic 1,000? Can the counter cope? Will Pauls’ Gold coat change to Platinum? Can a mere laptop manage the transition? This whole situation is nearly as nerve-racking as awaiting vaccination for the millennium bug.
All the best. Dave.
