Biting the bulletGen. Peter Baldwin wrote expressing concern that the History would not result in any security breaches. Hopefully having checked with JR and read every single word SEVERAL times I hope that I was able to re-assure him on this. It is all pretty 'old hat' but doesn't it bring back memories and contacts are being renewed.
Last week there was a film on TV of a 'fire-fight' -another new term? amongst a list as long as your arm they talked of firing 14,000, yes 14 THOUSAND rounds of ammunition. They didn't mention how many Taleban were killed but I don't reckon too many "bit the dust". I fired 5 rounds in my entire career with a rifle and 32 with a sten gun. At that rate per day it would have taken me over a year to get thgrough 14,000.
It's all so different.
