Garats Hay and Google Earth

Over the past year or so, I've 'google-earthed' all my postings and married quarters, and some are really quite interesting, in that some of the photos are obviously quite old - the towers at Gross Gusborn, the masts at Langeleben still there to see. Two very recent changes though - what happened to 224 at Loughborough? It has only recently been added to the hi-res library and was showing the old camp but now it's suddenly been replaced by a mini GCHQ! Sad to say, they've also recently updated Belfast, and the Squirrel club and the rest of Girdwood Park has been raised to the ground!!

Regards to all,

John Pryor

John Pryor, I know your name but from 225 or Birgelin? If I remember correctly, which is rare, tha' was married to a comely wench. So it was most likely 13 Sigs but put me out of my misery.

Hi Mike - I married Sue Gain who was at 13 from 65 to 68 then we were in Berlin for three years, followed by Langeleben for six - take your pick!

You just missed me John but Clive was there when you were there. I arrived early Feb 1969.
