Hotels in the Birgelen areaHi to the masses of information, come next year 2009,when we are starting to make our arrangements for the migration to Königslutter, our little group are going a few day,s early and intend to go via Birgelen to have a look around where Mercury barracks used to be and visit some of the old haunts,so what we would like is any recomendations from our vast range of members for nice hotels in the area for a one night stop, best regards from Ken.

When I was down there a couple of years ago we stayed at Hotel Wilms in Effeld, I remembered it as the village pub, now it's a four-star hotel. Very comfortable, (with corresponding prices). Conveniently within walking distance of the old barracks and Vlodrop.
