LOGSHEETSSomeone put a photo of a log sheet up on the Forum pictures some time ago.
As you may know JR et al are putting together a display in The Konigslutter Town Hall and at the same time I am putting together something similar at the Int Corps Museum.
Could the proud owner please let me have very good photocopy of the logsheet so that I can scan it or alternatively scan it himself so that I can print some - enough to make it look as if the Op Spec has been working
Many thanks

Logsheets.Paul,
I may be the person you are looking for here.
I have sent you by separate e mail copies of what I have, and if this is what you are looking for, please let me know.

As you can see, Bill has come up 'Trumps' and I now have the sheets. Always seeking a little bit more, Bill has used one for his demob chart and the other has some creasing.
Now! Do we have a wizard on' Paintbox' or equivalent who could restore them to their pristine original or am I asking too much. To be honest, they are pretty good since Bill and I were contemporaries which means they are 50+ years old. Am I asking too much?
Having them in my hand brings back memories!
One task the I Corps had was to wrap them up in a parcel write "SECRET ????? (I've forgotten what it was - honestly), and then seal them with string and thirteen knots - why thirteen one has to ask? Or was it fourteen? - followed by sealing wax and then put them in a another package addressed to GCHQ, NSA or whatever. All that damned training just for that!
By the way. Who can confess to have honestly received a message such as 'A happy Christmas to our American listeners' type of thing? I was never quite sure if my proverbial was being pulled by you Ops, couldn't trust you an inch!

Paul I can assure you that it was no leg pull . I wasn't at Langeleben at the time but at the Regiment and it was during the Christmas period that when I came on the evening shift I was made aware of a transmission made that afternoon which wished all its listeners a Merry Christmas. The exact wording I can't recall but I do know that there was no reference to the Americans. The transmission was made on the number one target. The one thing I'm not certain of is the year of this transmission.

Bob, What was the name of the Op who looked after RMBB00201 which used to send page after page of messages on B Watch with us? Must have been between Oct 55 and July 56. I can picture him vaguely. Must be on one of the Bwatch photos on the Forum.
Anyway, that such a message(s) existed seems certain now

Paul I'm sorry to say that I'm unable to come up with a name. Problem is too many setrooms and too many operators over 40 years. The only names that come to mind are those of operators and others who did something out of the ordinary.

I've got a little job for you Bob.
I have got some blank log sheets that need some of those funny little squares filled in so that they look realistic for the exhibition. I am sure that once you see them your memory will return and in no time there will be call-signs and 'Q' code and 5 fig traffic to spare. Will you do it for me if I post the blanks to you? You can send me your address via my home email paul.croxson@ntlworld.com
Many thanks
