MI5

Well that was scary Paul. To all our website visiters, if you have looked in over the past two hours you would have been confronted by a home page from MI5 announcing that the Langeleben website had been suspended for reasons of national security. I immediately thought of our history project and made a couple of feverish phonecalls, the second to Paul Croxon who seemed quite perturbed. My next call was to Tom our webmaster thinking that he was probably incarcerated in the tower only to get a cheerful "April fool"
Good one Tom.

Dead right Ernie. That was quite scary. I was busily packing my bag ready to flee the country until the second call.
A great April Fool's trick Tom. SWINE!

Re: MI5

Can we come out now?  We are incarcerated in the secret bunker in Brentwood area with a wax figure of Margaret Thatcher in bed....

I thought Mrs Thatcher claimed she didn't need to sleep. Now I know she was lying.

Hi Everybody, Just to bring this back to MI5, the BBC is doing something on Bletchly Park on Sunday Morning, they’re calling it The Reunion it’s on Radio 4 at 11.15 (I think). We’ll probably hear how they save the world single handed. All the best. Dave T

Yes Dave, I heard the preview and they are STILL propounding the myth that 'nobody talked'. Probably hundreds did talk but there were not many Germans around to liste. There was a chap called Cairncross who spilled the beans as to what was going on throughout the whole War.
They will probably tell how Churchill closed Bletchley down the day the War ended too!
