OUR WEBMASTERHaving fiddled around trying to get the history into a readable format, the latest effort beint to produce a contents list, it suddenly occurred to me how lucky we are to have such an incredible webmaster. Extraordinarily I don't even know if I have ever met him at either Langeleben or Loughborough.
I do know that when I last went to his home it was a Chinese Restaurant and Stubbings insisted on chatting up the waitress.
Anyway, from me a hearty 'thankyou' a thankless task amazingly well done.

It was always a matter of amazement to me how the the drivers used to disappear anywhere in Germany and find their way - no sign of a map and at best their German (and perhaps their pockets) would stretch to "drei bier bitte".

Now come on Paul your starting to exagerate again! I for one ceratainly never heard of anyone in the MT buying one, let alone three beers. All the best. Dave T.

Oh heck Dave. I didn't realise that drei meant three. I thought it had something to do with having a bit of a thirst or a lack of water.

Im getting the impression that DT and PC would,nt qualify for jobs on the M.T.,infact i can remember some folk who attended the block(i nearlly said worked)getting lost going from the block back to their billets, and as for drei bier bitter i think it was more like frei beir bitter, best regards from ken.
P.S. getting a bit excited now for xmas.

Ken, Back in 1955 the thing most likely to have caused my failure in MT was an inability to drive not drink.
