Spud MurphyAs it is so quiet at the moment, can I ask the question, does anyone remember Spud Murphy. He was at Langeleben in 1955 and he is in a photo on the Scharf Gallery. Quite acharacter.

Having just checked the gallery the photograph of "Spud" Murphy was taken in 1964, are you sure it's the same "Spud"

I must have been there at about the same time as Spud Murphy, one question though looking at the photo from Scharf only Phil Weightman was at Scharf. Jim and Jean Thornton were not and I am not sure if Jim Kane was either.
Whilst I am on how do I download to the site some photo`s I have of Sharf and Langeleben.

Hi Ernie & Bill, Than you, I could not understand that the photo of Spud was in 1964 as I remember him during my time at Langeleben. Keith

Hi Bill
You are correct in your information. I took the photo of Phil Weightman, Jim and Jean Thornton and Jim Kane at Scharf in 1969. When I sent the photos in (also sent quite a few of 'our years' too, the decision was made to put it in the Scharf section because of the location of the photo and not because of the people in the shot. There are so few photos of Scharf and the location was an important part of the photo.
If you have photos you simply send them to Tom the webmaster at: langeleben@btinternet.com
