i have not posted before as i normally write in sanskrit.just learnt english,innit! twoz me shoes,dave,dint ev eny underpants. right the tower. it neede dismantling from the top in sections,but capt dan decided to do a lumberjack number on it.CUT THROUGH IT AT THE BOTTOM. so we are all there grasping these ropes,these wre in place so that we could guide it to the exact place we wanted it to fall.we did,it went,STRAIGHT THROUGH THE OP'S BLOCK!!!!!!!! i peed mesen. miraculously no one was injured( a think!) it's kens fault for taking instruction from an officer! he should have consulted the east german boilerman!!!!!

Hi Vic,i think it was a calculated plot against Capt.???,being a ozzifer,he knew how to drop the tower without a risk assessment and health and safety being considered,its only a pity nobody was there with a movie camera to record the event,it was years later at one of our reunions in Konigslutter i met up with Major(at the time it happened)Ralph Plant who was the O.C. and one of the topics he mentioned was taking down the tower,and yes we had a good laugh about it,best regards from Ken.
