'is royal ighness Hudson has asked me to post on his behalf,(using his computer on Inland revenue work, something about cd copying and names, bank details etc).He especially wants to greet Marlene and Clive and Dave Thomas, and ANYBODY else who can make any sense of his various posts, lets me out.!
My greeting is to the people who have spent christmas at Scharf and Langeleben with me in the past, happy times,us single blokes worked the shifts so the marrieds could have christmas in the 'busom' of their families. We ate and drank as much as we wanted and just enjoyed ourselves, doing our own thing, which put us one up on the married lads!
I wish a very happy christmas and happy new year to all my readers, and hope to see a few in Barrow next year, thats beers not people.! |

All the best for Christmas and the New Year from North of the Border to you all.
The Scotch has been opened already, and great to have another excuse so early in the week to check out the flavour again.

Blimmin heck, I just did my post and got zapped out before I could post it!
I have been calling and calling my good lady and telling her it's past 7 but once hooked into her soaps she is deaf to all else. Now some bloke in heartbeat got shot and she is mopping up her tears with a bit of kitchen roll whilst supping a good size glass of vodka to calm herself down!
She has had me wrapping presents and writing cheques all night, anyone would think it's Christmas.
Far cry from my days in Langeleben when Geordie McCallum, Mason and I would down a pint (half litre) of milk in the NAAFI before heading down to 'slutter for a good night out.
I'd like to say hello to Ken the postie and anyone who remembers me.
Now I had better let my beloved have her say while she can still write. She has been toasting the good old days since yesterday, she says she is in training for tonight.
All the best

Gypo,Michael Antony Hudson sends you and Marlene the best for the season,he is otherwisw engaged on his computer, trying to balance the books, some keep falling over.
What do we put on this toast when it is buttered,or have I got it wrong again.
Seriously folks, wishing you all a very happy christmas and good new year, and hope to reach lugberugh one year for the reunion, since I use it as a base for the Barrow bash. |
